The suture is composed of synthetic polyester, glycomer 631, 60% glycolide, 14% dioxanone and 26% trimethylene carbonate. It features unidirectional barbs for a precise grasp of the tissue at numerous points which provides a proper distribution of tension across the wound. With a tensile strength of 90% at 7 days and 75% at 14 days, the v-loc 90 sutures have can be absorbed by the body within 90 to 110 days.
