Albon is effective in the treatment of shipping fever complex and bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp. sensitive to sulfadimethoxine; and calf diphtheria and foot rot associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum sensitive to sulfadimethoxine in cattle. Long-acting sulfonamide bolus. Low dose provides rapid, sustained blood levels at higher levels than most other long-acting sulfonamides. Low toxicity. Approved for use in lactating dairy cows.
