Prophy Paste

Prophy paste is a dental prophylaxis paste used to remove plaque and stain from teeth during professional cleaning appointments. The paste is applied with prophy paste brushes. The paste must be gentle to the gum tissue and enamel while thoroughly cleaning the teeth. Many varieties are sold in unit dose cups. Prophy paste is available with or without fluoride. Dye and gluten-free formulas are also available. Prophy paste is the dental product with the most flavor varieties. Prophy paste flavors include bubblegum, cherry, mint, chocolate, cinnamon, orange, and berry. It is made in fine, medium, and coarse textures. This should not be confused with prophy powders which are used with dental air polishing instruments.
