Polishing units are equipment used in dental laboratories to polish finished ceramic restorations before returning them to dentists. Polishing units include a plastic or acrylic cover, suction units, dust collection trays, and high-speed machines called lathe operatingat RPMs reaching 3000. Polishing units could be sold separately or installed in a tabletop.
